PALFINGER is searching for a Spare Parts Purchaser to work as part of our parts department. The primary function is to maintain inventory accuracy and stock levels for the Spare Parts Department. This position reports to the Regional Spare Parts Manager.
Your Responsibilites
- Run MRP reports in SAP S4 to calculate required materials, convert demand to vendor purchase orders, and manage inter-company transfers for immediate demand.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to address potential supply shortages or disruptions, and analyze material discrepancies between vendor invoices and warehouse receiving reports.
- Make purchasing decisions based on lead times, pricing, and minimum order quantities, and modify inbound freight methods to better suit customer requirements.
- Check order acknowledgments and modify pricing and lead times when discrepancies occur, while maintaining open communication with suppliers.
- Run late reports on outstanding inbound materials and reconcile differences with finance, while creating and managing Purchase Orders and Sales Orders based on material movement requirements.
Your Responsibilities
- Diploma in Supply Chain Logistics Management or Inventory Management required.
- 7+ years’ experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office & SAP.
- Strong communication and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated and strong team player attributes.
