Crane geometry redefined
Especially in the area of movement geometry PALFINGER again and again proves its pioneering role with numerous patents and innovations. With the development of the POWER LINK PLUS SYSTEM apparent barriers have been crossed for the first time and the state of the art in loading crane technology redefined by PALFINGER – as so often in the past.

Maximum manoeuvrability
The POWER LINK PLUS knuckle boom stands out by virtue of its outstanding movement geometry. Crane work can be carried out in cramped spaces. The truck crane knuckle boom which can be angled upwards 15 degrees opens up possibilities which up to now were inconceivable with conventional crane geometry or which were only feasible with the aid of special additional equipment. POWER LINK enables even the most difficult work to be carried out at high precision in restricted space. Without any difficulty the crane can extend through low window and door openings and when deployed in halls and in other situations with height and space restrictions can work more efficiently. In operation with a cable winch loads can be brought closer to the crane column. POWER LINK PLUS therefore means maximum manoeuvrability.

The deployment of the proven double linkage system (PALFINGER POWER LINK) becomes even more efficient in combination with the upwardly stretchable knuckle boom (PALFINGER POWER LINK PLUS). Already available as standard on thirteen models in the Performance crane series, the knuckle boom above horizontal extends the working range of the crane significantly, without having to accept any restrictions either to the detriment of the space needed for working or at the expense of functionality and efficiency. The crane can still be collapsed to the width of the vehicle and transported in space-saving mode.

Efficiency and safety
Apart from lifting capacity and outreach, on many crane jobs precision and a finger-tip touch are especially required. Through the combination of perfect movement geometry, precise control engineering and technological features, some of which are exclusively available from PALFINGER, highest levels of efficiency and safety are achieved. The crane can be controlled particularly sensitively with the aid of PALFINGER radio remote control. By means of the electronic High Power Lifting System and the AOS Active Oscillation Suppression system even sensitive loads can be placed precisely and with pinpoint accuracy.
