In the area of movement geometry in particular, PALFINGER again and again proves its pioneering role with numerous patents and innovations. With the development of five brand-new fly jibs, which were seen for the first time at BAUMA 2004, the prestigious Salzburg-based company has now succeeded in perfectly upgrading its truck loading cranes.
Fly Jibs – more than an accessory The new fly jibs from PALFINGER are more than just an accessory. They open up completely new applications thanks to their unique manoeuvrability, their outreach and their low dead weight.
Deployment also at exposed places Owing to their excellent movement geometry – the new fly jibs can all be angled upwards by 25 degrees – work can even be performed without difficulty at exposed and difficult-to-reach places. Fitted with those fly jibs PALFINGER cranes not only reach high above roof edges but also effortlessly through window and door openings. Difficult tasks in the construction and assembly sector can therefore be performed with ease.
Lifting heights of up to 35 metres Equipped with up to six hydraulic extensions, lifting heights (incl. crane and truck) of up to 35 metres are possible. Despite the considerable extension of the crane’s working range, no restrictions have to be accepted – either to the detriment of the space required or to the detriment of functionality and efficiency. The crane can still be folded to the width of the vehicle and transported with space-saving effect. In combination with various attachments – e.g. with a clamshell grab for roof gravel surfacing, with an inversion fork in dry construction, with a winch for assembly work, etc. – even the most difficult jobs can be carried out precisely and cost-efficiently at great working heights.
Lightweight – manoeuvrable - functional The use of a fine-grained structural steel of grade STE 1100 permits the construction of very light and yet sturdy extension arm systems – producing a significant increase in lifting capacity and an enormous improvement in power-to-weight ratio.
