Transport company Pabst in Gochsheim is on the road throughout Germany with 130 own and 70 third-party truck-trailer units. A large part of Pabst’s fleet consists of swap-body vehicles. Up to now the combination of swap-body trailers with transportable forklifts was not possible for constructional reasons, but by mounting the transportable box of the Crayler BM under the trailer the advantages of a transportable forklift can now be enjoyed. Rapid loading and unloading ensures speedy and flexible delivery. With the Crayler BM the containers can be both loaded for despatch and quickly unloaded at the destination. Among other things, Pabst carries thermal insulation panel systems for building supplies company STO-AG.

In the past transporting them from warehouse to construction site was very time-consuming because the material had to be unloaded by means of liftgate and then distributed manually. With the Crayler BM the material can be transported directly to the spot where it is needed. The short unloading times lead to a significant increase in the volume of cargo transported by the truck-trailer unit. By deploying the Crayler BM the transport company can provide an additional, paid-for service. What’s more, the Crayler BM’s capabilities make it possible to enter completely new segments of the transport business.
