To ensure this, PALFINGER conducted the following measures at the beginning of 2004:
• Installation of a modern central warehouse for all PALFINGER spare parts • Management by DHL Company • Switchover to the modern PPS system SAP • Online connection to the PALFINGER production sites worldwide.
Every day hundreds of genuine PALFINGER spare parts are packed in our central warehouse and despatched to all parts of the world. In this context there are many factors which influence the satisfaction of our customers.
RELIABILITY: The packaging has only fulfilled its purpose if the spare parts reach the customer undamaged. To ensure that this is the case, in addition to conventional boxes we also use foam-filled ones in order to protect pressure-sensitive parts (e.g. joysticks, boards, ...) from mechanical damage.
MARKETING: Thanks to the new packaging design it can be seen at a glance that the product inside is an original PALFINGER part. This enables us and our partners to market our spare parts optimally.
FUNCTIONALITY: In addition to the bags used in the past, various differently sized boxes are now available which have been optimally adapted in terms of design and functionality to the special requirements of the spare parts sector.
