The PALTRONIC system is more than just a program control unit. The intelligent, CAN bus-enabled electronic system optimally uses the power of the crane even under difficult conditions and offers maximum control and safety: The working cage is automatically levelled and the lifting capacity is controlled as a function of the angle of turn, curve superelevation, the position of the supports and a further unit of equipment mounted on the same vehicle. Permissible working ranges and lifting moments are set using a PC and a specially developed diagnostic program.
The PALTRONIC’s display indicates the current operating status of the unit, such as capacity utilisation and working range (geometrically calculated). It also provides lots of additional operator and service information, including, for example, the hours worked.
By linking up two controls, redundant systems are possible, which means that the requirements of safety category 3 under EN 954-1 are met.
