Short blocking times put constant pressure on the railway staff responsible for track maintenance. Minimal setup times are therefore a key criterion for track motor vehicles. As it is not necessary to prop up the crane (this is a difficult task on its own e.g. because of sloping railway embankments, sleepers, the other side of the line and the dimensions of the ballast bed) more time is available for the actual work.
PALFINGER Railway will provide you with expert assistance in the selection of the railway crane most suitable for your requirements and will adapt it optimally with regard to mounting and stability (for example by means of a slewing counterweight, ballast weight or intelligent program control in your vehicle). This means that the crane will have to be propped up only in exceptional cases.
