Interview with Wolfgang Pilz.
Wolfgang Pilz
Wolfgang Pilz, CMO and Director at PALFINGER responsible for the crane and hookloader business, has this to say about the new High Performance crane series:

Our customers' requirements on our products are becoming increasingly demanding. Thus the "High Performance" description is a perfect expression of the performance
and potential success of our newly developed crane series.
In this case "High Performance" means not only building the best cranes but also offering the customer a coherent overall package which starts with professional advice
and ends with perfect service.

The knowledge gained from over four years of development work, the constructive feedback of numerous customers and the know-how accumulated from 50 years of crane building have been brought together in this new generation of cranes.

"Highest quality at competitive prices" was and is the stated aim. To do justice to these high requirements, we have invested comprehensively in quality and efficiency at
PALFINGER's production sites. One component of our 80 million Euro capital investment programme is the new hexagonal boom production plant at the Lengau site in Austria.

Thanks to this new technology, high strength steels can be processed to the highest standards of precision and even more precise crane movements are guaranteed as a result.

In the next three years we will position a total of 80 "High Performance" crane models covering the entire
product range in the market. The kick-off for the new generation of cranes will take place on 24th October 2007 at the SAIE in Bologna/Italy.

With the new crane series we will redefine the standards in the industry and make our customers even more successful in their individual transport jobs.
