PALFINGER is searching for a Parts Warehouse individual to work in our Spare Parts Department. The primary function of the Parts Warehouse is to assemble and ship parts orders and intercompany transfers. Interrogate ERP system for orders that can be picked and shipped. Produce required shipping labels and documents. Maintain equipment and inventory used to perform warehousing tasks in line with prescribed procedures and work instructions. We are located in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick orders from inventory and assemble ordered components for packing.
  • Check item references and quantities for accuracy assembled components against pick slip. Rectify any discrepancy. Verify picked quantities on pick slip. 
  • Check components on order as packed in to shipping container and check mark on pick slip. Rectify any discrepancy.
  • Secure shipping container as required to protect damage or loss of components while in the hands of carriers.
  • Pick kits as specified by production order pick slips and pack after QA Department check on contents for conformance with work order.
  • Sorts available deliveries and generate pick slips in accordance with delivery requirements and inventory availability for picking.
  • In accordance with work instructions review available deliveries for picking. Generate pick slips and after packing delivery notes.
  • Advise supervisor of transactions that require data adjustment to allow picking.
  • Enter shipment details in to shipping system. Generate all required documents and shipping labels from system or request documents from parts administration office. Affix shipping documentation to shipments.
  • Where necessary arrange for assigned carriers to pick up shipments.
  • Where necessary load shipments on to carrier’s transport vehicles.
  • Ensure shipments available for couriers / carriers at designated pick up times. Ensure all shipments are loaded and accounted for in end of day document summaries where applicable.
  • Maintain required licenses and test requirements to operate all warehouse equipment. Report deficiencies to supervisors.
  • Maintain stocks of shipping supplies. Advise supervisor when replacement supplies are required.
  • Maintain warehouse assembly area and shipping area in accordance with Health and Safety policies. Ensure all areas warehouse and shipping areas are clean and tidy. 
  • Adhere to company policy and procedure with respect to conduct and department operation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required and 5 years related experience in a Warehouse.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Computer literate using basic programs such as Windows and Outlook.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety awareness.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Forklift License required.
  • Basic understanding of computers and math skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and learn quickly with minimal supervision.
